My name is Michael Cain, born in Oklahoma City 1951. I was taught welding at Sooner Mechanical Trade School in 1964 which my father founded. In 1971 I enlisted in the Navy Seabees and became a welder/ steel worker. Upon being discharged in 1973 I went back to my fathers trade school and completed the plumbing and electrical course. I took to welding because it gave me a creative outlet and after working in the trade for many years I opened my studio, M.C. Metal, in 1982.
My portfolio shows examples of various projects that I’ve been involved with over the years. I’m still learning and looking to the future of metal working and after 50 years of experience I’ve never tired of the possibilities to create beautiful and lasting works for the future.
